Armando Saenz
2015 - 2016
8th Grade

Welcome to my PLP...
My name is Armando Saenz Flores, I live in Monterrey, Mexico and I go to study on San Roberto International School. I like to debate about issues of the world, so I decided to join the UNVA staff of 2015. I got the position as a prosecutor in CPI, which is the International Court of Crime in Spanish. (UNVA is a simulation of the Unite Nations) I am a Math Count student, even tho I haven't appeared in the Top-20 places of San Roberto I think that I have done good participations. I do Track & Field as exercize and I consider myself pretty good, after three years of training. For this year, after UNVA 2015 I'm running for the "Chief of Courts" position for UNVA 2016. As a goal for this year is to get at least one MUN award.
Where am I at the beginning of 8th grade?
At the beginning of 8th grade as usual, we got to know each teacher. We started fast with Math, having tests and fast lessons. On Physics we started with the measurement units and we learned how to convert them. On History we started with the early humans and civilizations. On Spanish we started with vocabulary, as well with English.
Where do I want to be in January and how am I going to get there?
On January I want to keep with my good grades. I am going to do that by keeping studying and going to MUN (Model United Nations) events. I’ll keep doing my projects with effort. I’ll try to choose the best partners for my projects and do my best.
I’ll try to keep learning more Japanese with the help of a teacher. I’ll also keep going to Track & Field and I’ll try to join the Book Club of the school. Finally, I will try to keep my Non-Academics and Academics grades up to get at least four awards on the graduation ceremony. I’ll also do my best at the Math Counts competition (it’s my final year) and I’ll try to end up on the Top-20 list between the Instituto San Roberto community.
Where do I want to be at the end of 8th grade and how am I going to get there?
At the end of 8th grade I would want to have awards of MUN events and medals for Track & Field. By that time I should have already learned Japanese and mastered it, so I’ll keep practicing it. To get awards on MUN I’ll have to keep up with good grades and be more confident on speaking. I’ll keep practicing Track & Field and avoid skipping the class.
On the Academic side, I’ll expect for me to have good grades, by practicing, paying attention and choosing the right partners for my projects. With the help of the MUN events I will try to keep up doing my best. The Math Counts competition will also benefit my Math and Physics grades. Finally, I expect that at the end of 8th grade I would had gotten four awards on the closing ceremony.
